# RIDE TV vs Proper Strides

The clearest difference is monetization model: Proper Strides at free with in-app purchases against RIDE TV's subscription. Proper Strides also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.2 vs 3.9). RIDE TV's advantage is ratings volume (73 vs 5) and chart position (#157 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RIDE TV sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Proper Strides sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Proper Strides holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RIDE TV has 73 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of RIDE TV's written reviews are positive against 75% of Proper Strides's.

RIDE TV ships an update every 2 months, Proper Strides every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
