# Cheez vs ProScope Capture

The clearest difference is monetization model: Cheez at free with in-app purchases against ProScope Capture's subscription. Cheez also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). ProScope Capture's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cheez sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and ProScope Capture sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProScope Capture holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cheez has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cheez ships an update every 4 days, ProScope Capture every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
