# VMouse vs Remote Mouse & Keyboard

The clearest difference is monetization model: VMouse at free with in-app purchases against Remote Mouse & Keyboard's subscription. VMouse also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 50%). Remote Mouse & Keyboard's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VMouse sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Remote Mouse & Keyboard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remote Mouse & Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 39 and 73 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of VMouse's written reviews are positive against 50% of Remote Mouse & Keyboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VMouse ships an update every 2 months, Remote Mouse & Keyboard every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
