# Lokal vs OMO

The clearest difference is rating: Lokal at 4.9 against OMO's 3.3. Lokal also leads on ratings volume (176 vs 7). OMO's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 42%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lokal holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lokal has 176 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Lokal's written reviews are positive against 50% of OMO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lokal ships an update monthly, OMO fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
