# AltFuelUS vs Snap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AltFuelUS at 100% against Snap's 30%. Snap's advantage is price (Free vs $0.99) and rating (4.7 vs 4.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Snap is free to download; AltFuelUS costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Snap holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap has 768 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of AltFuelUS's written reviews are positive against 30% of Snap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AltFuelUS ships an update every 13 months, Snap every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
