# Splashtop SOS vs POSSE Mobile Inspect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: POSSE Mobile Inspect at 100% against Splashtop SOS's 12%. POSSE Mobile Inspect also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 17.0). Splashtop SOS's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 1.7) and ratings volume (71 vs 7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Splashtop SOS holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Splashtop SOS has 71 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of Splashtop SOS's written reviews are positive against 100% of POSSE Mobile Inspect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Splashtop SOS ships an update every 2 months, POSSE Mobile Inspect every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
