# MobileKey vs SMALOX

The clearest difference is update cadence: SMALOX at every 4 weeks against MobileKey's every 3 months. SMALOX also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MobileKey ships an update every 3 months, SMALOX every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
