# Syvecs Pro vs GPS Race Timer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Syvecs Pro at 100% against GPS Race Timer's 34%. Syvecs Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). GPS Race Timer's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Syvecs Pro sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and GPS Race Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GPS Race Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Race Timer has 2.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Syvecs Pro's written reviews are positive against 34% of GPS Race Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Syvecs Pro ships an update every 5 weeks, GPS Race Timer every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
