# ElkNut vs Echo

The clearest difference is rating: Echo at 5.0 against ElkNut's 4.3. Echo also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). ElkNut's advantage is ratings volume (260 vs 3) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ElkNut sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year and Echo sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Echo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ElkNut has 260 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ElkNut ships an update every 3 weeks, Echo every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
