# ElkNut vs MAGIC EAGLE

The clearest difference is monetization model: ElkNut at free with in-app purchases against MAGIC EAGLE's subscription. MAGIC EAGLE's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ElkNut sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year and MAGIC EAGLE sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MAGIC EAGLE holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 260 and 276 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of ElkNut's written reviews are positive against 58% of MAGIC EAGLE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ElkNut ships an update every 2 weeks, MAGIC EAGLE every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
