# Drop Cats vs Donut

The clearest difference is ads: Donut at none against Drop Cats's shown. Donut also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 64 months). Drop Cats's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Drop Cats against 5.0 for Donut. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drop Cats has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Drop Cats ships an update every 64 months, Donut monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
