# OffBlock vs A

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: A at none against OffBlock's 4. A also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). OffBlock's advantage is ratings volume (102 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OffBlock sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. A asks for nothing beyond the download.

A holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OffBlock has 102 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OffBlock ships an update every 2 months, A every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
