# Simple Daily Diary vs My Journal.

The clearest difference is update cadence: My Journal. at every 5 days against Simple Daily Diary's every 50 months. Simple Daily Diary's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 24). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Daily Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and My Journal. sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My Journal. holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Daily Diary has 1.3K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simple Daily Diary ships an update every 50 months, My Journal. every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
