# Simple Daily Diary vs notesDiary

The clearest difference is review sentiment: notesDiary at 100% against Simple Daily Diary's 52%. notesDiary also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 50 months). Simple Daily Diary's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Daily Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and notesDiary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

notesDiary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Daily Diary has 1.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Simple Daily Diary's written reviews are positive against 100% of notesDiary's.

Simple Daily Diary ships an update every 50 months, notesDiary fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
