# WeHome vs Home Security Camera Scanner

The clearest difference is rating: Home Security Camera Scanner at 4.0 against WeHome's 2.8. Home Security Camera Scanner also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 4). WeHome's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (58% vs 25%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Home Security Camera Scanner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. WeHome asks for nothing beyond the download.

Home Security Camera Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Security Camera Scanner has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of WeHome's written reviews are positive against 25% of Home Security Camera Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
