# WeHome vs Smart Security Camera App

The clearest difference is rating: Smart Security Camera App at 4.7 against WeHome's 2.8. Smart Security Camera App also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 4). WeHome's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (58% vs 25%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Security Camera App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. WeHome asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart Security Camera App holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Security Camera App has 2.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of WeHome's written reviews are positive against 25% of Smart Security Camera App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WeHome ships an update monthly, Smart Security Camera App every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
