# 粉萌日记 vs Leaf Journal

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 粉萌日记 at 84% against Leaf Journal's 41%. 粉萌日记 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Leaf Journal's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (96 vs 14). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 粉萌日记 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Leaf Journal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Leaf Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Leaf Journal has 96 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of 粉萌日记's written reviews are positive against 41% of Leaf Journal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

粉萌日记 ships an update every 2 months, Leaf Journal every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
