# 粉萌日记 vs Diary

The clearest difference is ads: 粉萌日记 at none against Diary's shown. Diary's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 14). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 粉萌日记 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary has 1.6K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of 粉萌日记's written reviews are positive against 78% of Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
