# EventReference vs Wyred

The clearest difference is rating: Wyred at 4.0 against EventReference's 2.2. EventReference's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wyred holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EventReference has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EventReference ships an update every 10 days, Wyred every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
