# COGWA vs Square Go

The clearest difference is update cadence: Square Go at fortnightly against COGWA's every 3 months. Square Go also leads on ratings volume (184K vs 24) and chart position (#31 vs unranked). COGWA's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for COGWA against 4.9 for Square Go. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Square Go has 184K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of COGWA's written reviews are positive against 84% of Square Go's.

COGWA ships an update every 3 months, Square Go fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
