# Day Planner vs Execute

The clearest difference is update cadence: Execute at every 5 days against Day Planner's every 4 months. Day Planner's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and review sentiment (84% vs 73%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Day Planner sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Execute sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Day Planner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Day Planner has 70 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of Day Planner's written reviews are positive against 73% of Execute's.

Day Planner ships an update every 4 months, Execute every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
