# McAfee Security for T vs DeFNCE

The clearest difference is rating: McAfee Security for T at 4.8 against DeFNCE's 1.0. McAfee Security for T also leads on ratings volume (58K vs 1). DeFNCE's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

McAfee Security for T holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: McAfee Security for T has 58K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of McAfee Security for T's written reviews are positive against 100% of DeFNCE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

McAfee Security for T ships an update every 3 months, DeFNCE every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
