# EU Learning vs Preply

The clearest difference is rating: Preply at 4.8 against EU Learning's 4.0. Preply also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (45K vs 1). EU Learning's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Preply holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Preply has 45K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EU Learning ships an update every 14 months, Preply weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
