# Notion vs ClickUp

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ClickUp at none against Notion's 6. Notion's advantage is review sentiment (55% vs 39%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notion sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. ClickUp asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Notion against 4.7 for ClickUp. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notion has 90K ratings behind it against 10K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Notion's written reviews are positive against 39% of ClickUp's.

Notion ships an update every 3 days, ClickUp weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
