# Color Switch vs IQ React

The clearest difference is rating: IQ React at 5.0 against Color Switch's 4.0. IQ React also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Color Switch's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Switch sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and IQ React sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IQ React holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IQ React has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Color Switch ships an update every 5 months, IQ React weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
