# ChatPrivate vs SIMless

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ChatPrivate at 95% against SIMless's 18%. ChatPrivate also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). SIMless's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (3.5K vs 6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatPrivate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $20.49 per month and SIMless sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SIMless holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SIMless has 3.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of ChatPrivate's written reviews are positive against 18% of SIMless's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChatPrivate ships an update every 5 months, SIMless every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
