# Eye Reader vs PocketTarot Reading

Eye Reader and PocketTarot Reading both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of PocketTarot Reading's written reviews are positive against 5% of Eye Reader's. PocketTarot Reading also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Eye Reader's advantage is ratings volume (94 vs 9) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eye Reader sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and PocketTarot Reading sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Eye Reader against 4.1 for PocketTarot Reading. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eye Reader has 94 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 5% of Eye Reader's written reviews are positive against 80% of PocketTarot Reading's.

Eye Reader ships an update weekly, PocketTarot Reading every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
