# Waterspeed vs SailSync AI

The clearest difference is rating: SailSync AI at 5.0 against Waterspeed's 4.6. SailSync AI also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Waterspeed's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waterspeed sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and SailSync AI sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SailSync AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waterspeed has 1.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Waterspeed's written reviews are positive against 100% of SailSync AI's.

Waterspeed ships an update every 9 days, SailSync AI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
