# Shortnotes vs TimeGPT

The clearest difference is rating: TimeGPT at 5.0 against Shortnotes's 4.1. TimeGPT also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Shortnotes's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shortnotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TimeGPT asks for nothing beyond the download.

TimeGPT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shortnotes has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of Shortnotes's written reviews are positive against 67% of TimeGPT's.

Shortnotes ships an update every 2 months, TimeGPT weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
