# Shortnotes vs TubeSumm

The clearest difference is update cadence: TubeSumm at every 6 days against Shortnotes's every 2 months. TubeSumm also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). Shortnotes's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shortnotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TubeSumm sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shortnotes ships an update every 2 months, TubeSumm every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
