# Shortnotes vs remind4

The clearest difference is update cadence: remind4 at monthly against Shortnotes's every 2 months. Shortnotes's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shortnotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and remind4 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shortnotes ships an update every 2 months, remind4 monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
