# Event Countdown vs Countdown Buddy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Countdown Buddy at 68% against Event Countdown's 0%. Countdown Buddy also leads on ratings volume (25K vs 108). Event Countdown's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Event Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown Buddy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Event Countdown holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Buddy has 25K ratings behind it against 108, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Event Countdown's written reviews are positive against 68% of Countdown Buddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
