# Speed Queen vs DadsonPay

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DadsonPay at 75% against Speed Queen's 41%. DadsonPay also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.6). Speed Queen's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Speed Queen holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Queen has 23K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Speed Queen's written reviews are positive against 75% of DadsonPay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speed Queen ships an update fortnightly, DadsonPay every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
