# UseCrypt Messenger vs Metra.al

The clearest difference is rating: Metra.al at 5.0 against UseCrypt Messenger's 3.8. Metra.al also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). UseCrypt Messenger's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UseCrypt Messenger sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.49 per month and Metra.al sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
