# eCarUp vs CNG

The clearest difference is update cadence: eCarUp at every 6 weeks against CNG's every 38 months. CNG's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

eCarUp ships an update every 6 weeks, CNG every 38 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
