# Icon vs About

The clearest difference is update cadence: Icon at every 5 months against About's every 14 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Icon sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per year and About sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Icon ships an update every 5 months, About every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
