# uSummit vs ASCP Now

The clearest difference is rating: ASCP Now at 5.0 against uSummit's 3.9. uSummit's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 6 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ASCP Now holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: uSummit has 17 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

uSummit ships an update every 4 weeks, ASCP Now every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
