# DLNRTip vs Genasys Protect

The clearest difference is rating: DLNRTip at 3.0 against Genasys Protect's 2.6. DLNRTip also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Genasys Protect's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (81 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DLNRTip holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Genasys Protect has 81 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of DLNRTip's written reviews are positive against 9% of Genasys Protect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DLNRTip ships an update every 8 months, Genasys Protect every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
