# Workshop vs SkillBuddy.io

The clearest difference is rating: Workshop at 4.8 against SkillBuddy.io's 3.0. Workshop also leads on ratings volume (54 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). SkillBuddy.io's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Workshop holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Workshop has 54 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Workshop ships an update every 6 weeks, SkillBuddy.io fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
