# Hg vs LACRÈME

The clearest difference is rating: LACRÈME at 5.0 against Hg's 4.3. LACRÈME also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Hg's advantage is ratings volume (259 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LACRÈME holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hg has 259 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hg ships an update every 2 weeks, LACRÈME monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
