# Drafts vs Markdown to PDF

The clearest difference is rating: Drafts at 4.8 against Markdown to PDF's 4.4. Drafts also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 9) and device support (4 vs 2). Markdown to PDF's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 70%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drafts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Markdown to PDF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drafts holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drafts has 11K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Drafts's written reviews are positive against 83% of Markdown to PDF's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
