# Calculus vs I Aced Calculus AP Prep

The clearest difference is review sentiment: I Aced Calculus AP Prep at 88% against Calculus's 50%. I Aced Calculus AP Prep also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 3). Calculus's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and I Aced Calculus AP Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: I Aced Calculus AP Prep has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Calculus's written reviews are positive against 88% of I Aced Calculus AP Prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculus ships an update every 4 months, I Aced Calculus AP Prep every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
