# iKids vs Grax

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iKids at none against Grax's 2. iKids also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Grax's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grax sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. iKids asks for nothing beyond the download.

iKids holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grax has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

iKids ships an update every 2 weeks, Grax every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
