# Speed Limit Camera vs Pre

The clearest difference is rating: Speed Limit Camera at 4.6 against Pre's 3.0. Speed Limit Camera also leads on ratings volume (531 vs 2). Pre's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speed Limit Camera sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Pre asks for nothing beyond the download.

Speed Limit Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Limit Camera has 531 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Speed Limit Camera's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pre's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speed Limit Camera ships an update every 3 months, Pre every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
