# Japa vs UnitransNow

The clearest difference is rating: Japa at 4.2 against UnitransNow's 3.8. Japa also leads on ratings volume (129 vs 24). UnitransNow's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 57%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Japa holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Japa has 129 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Japa's written reviews are positive against 71% of UnitransNow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
