# FitKit App vs Metric Pro

The clearest difference is ads: Metric Pro at none against FitKit App's shown. Metric Pro also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). FitKit App's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (22 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FitKit App against 5.0 for Metric Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FitKit App has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FitKit App ships an update every 9 days, Metric Pro every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
