# Custom Emojis Maker vs My Emoji Face

The clearest difference is monetization model: My Emoji Face at free with in-app purchases against Custom Emojis Maker's subscription. My Emoji Face also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Custom Emojis Maker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 28 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Custom Emojis Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and My Emoji Face sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Custom Emojis Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Custom Emojis Maker has 1K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Custom Emojis Maker's written reviews are positive against 58% of My Emoji Face's.

Custom Emojis Maker ships an update every 2 months, My Emoji Face every 28 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
