# Custom Emojis Maker vs Font Maker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Font Maker at free with in-app purchases against Custom Emojis Maker's subscription. Font Maker also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (84% vs 62%). Custom Emojis Maker's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 50). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Custom Emojis Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Font Maker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Custom Emojis Maker against 4.2 for Font Maker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Custom Emojis Maker has 1K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Custom Emojis Maker's written reviews are positive against 84% of Font Maker's.

Custom Emojis Maker ships an update every 2 months, Font Maker every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
