# mySolar vs AR

The clearest difference is price: AR at Free against mySolar's $14.99. AR also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.2) and ads (none vs shown). mySolar's advantage is ratings volume (410 vs 11). On update cadence, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

AR is free to download; mySolar costs $14.99 up front. mySolar sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and AR sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: mySolar has 410 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
