# ecosen vs zapis

The clearest difference is rating: zapis at 4.8 against ecosen's 4.2. zapis also leads on ratings volume (174 vs 5). ecosen's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 59%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

zapis holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: zapis has 174 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of ecosen's written reviews are positive against 59% of zapis's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ecosen ships an update fortnightly, zapis every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
